Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Aethrel platform. Please read them carefully. By creating an account, you agree to be bound by them.

Last updated: April 15, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) and Aethrel (“we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of the Aethrel platform and services (collectively, the “Service”).

By creating an account, completing onboarding, or otherwise accessing the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and all policies incorporated by reference, including the Privacy Policy and the Acceptable Use Policy.

If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity. In that case, “you” refers to that entity.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. The Service

Aethrel provides a done-for-you social engagement platform. The Service includes:

  • Discovery of publicly accessible threads and conversations on supported platforms (currently Reddit and LinkedIn)
  • AI-assisted drafting of reply content shaped by your strategy profile
  • A human review queue through which the Aethrel team reviews, edits, approves, or rejects drafts before publishing
  • Publishing of approved replies via connected platform accounts
  • A client-facing analytics portal showing discovered conversations, published replies, and engagement data
  • A strategy capture and onboarding process through which you define brand voice, topic limits, and content constraints

The Service is a managed service, not a self-serve tool. Client workspaces are activated manually by the Aethrel team following a review of your onboarding. Certain features and volume limits vary by subscription tier as described on the pricing page.

We reserve the right to modify, expand, or discontinue any feature or aspect of the Service with reasonable notice. We will not materially reduce the core functionality of a tier without offering an appropriate remedy, such as a prorated refund for the affected period.

3. Accounts and access

To use the Service, you must create an account and complete onboarding. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep that information up to date.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at hello@aethrel.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

Accounts are for the use of the registered entity only. You may not share credentials, transfer your account to another party, or allow third parties to access the Service through your account without our prior written consent.

Aethrel may refuse registration or cancel an account at our discretion, including where we determine that the intended use does not align with these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy.

4. Billing and payment

Access to the Service is provided on a monthly subscription basis. Subscription fees are charged in advance at the beginning of each billing period.

Payment processing

Payments are processed by Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorise Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. Your payment information is handled directly by Stripe under their terms and privacy policy — we do not store full card numbers.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, we will attempt to collect the outstanding amount. If payment cannot be collected within 7 days of the due date, we reserve the right to suspend your workspace until the balance is resolved.

Plan changes

Tier upgrades and downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. Tier changes are handled through a brief strategy call with the Aethrel team. Downgrades do not result in a prorated refund for the current period.

Refunds

Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law, or where Aethrel has materially failed to deliver the Service as described. Refund requests should be directed to hello@aethrel.com.

Taxes

Subscription fees are exclusive of applicable taxes. Where required by law, applicable sales tax, VAT, or similar charges will be added to your invoice. You are responsible for any taxes applicable in your jurisdiction.

5. Acceptable use

Your use of the Service is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Violations of the Acceptable Use Policy are violations of these Terms.

In summary: Aethrel is built for genuine brand engagement. It may not be used for fake personas, astroturfing, coordinated inauthentic behaviour, harassment, or any activity that violates the terms of service of any platform the Service operates on. The full list of requirements and prohibited uses is set out in the Acceptable Use Policy.

6. Content and intellectual property

Your content

You retain ownership of all content you provide to Aethrel, including your strategy profile, brand voice guidance, and any other materials you submit. By providing this content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to use it solely to operate the Service for your workspace — to generate drafts, score policy compliance, and populate your analytics.

You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to provide this content, that it does not infringe any third party’s intellectual property rights, and that its use in connection with the Service will not violate any applicable law.

AI-generated drafts

Drafts generated by Aethrel are produced on your behalf using your strategy profile and thread context. You are responsible for reviewing and approving drafts before they are published. Published replies are associated with your platform accounts and constitute your content for purposes of platform terms of service.

We do not claim ownership of drafts generated for your workspace. However, because AI-generated content is produced algorithmically, we make no representations about its originality and cannot guarantee that it does not resemble content produced for other users.

Aethrel’s intellectual property

The Aethrel platform, including its design, software, algorithms, and documentation, is our proprietary property. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, trade names, or branding. You may not copy, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the platform.

7. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information in connection with the Service is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Third-party platform accounts

The Service requires you to connect one or more third-party platform accounts (such as Reddit or LinkedIn). Your use of those platforms is governed by their respective terms of service, which are separate from these Terms. We are not a party to, and have no responsibility for, your agreements with those platforms.

You represent and warrant that any platform account you connect to Aethrel is legitimately owned or controlled by you, that you have authority to authorise the Service to post on its behalf, and that doing so does not violate the relevant platform’s terms of service.

Aethrel is not liable for any action taken by a third-party platform against your account, including suspension, shadow-banning, or permanent bans, whether or not such action results from your use of the Service. Platform decisions are outside our control.

9. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available and the pipeline running reliably. We do not make any uptime guarantee or service level commitment at this time. Scheduled maintenance, infrastructure events, and third-party platform outages may result in temporary unavailability.

If a platform Aethrel operates on experiences downtime or makes changes to its API that temporarily interrupt publishing, we will notify affected clients and resume operations as quickly as practicable. Such interruptions do not constitute a breach of these Terms.

Account warm-up periods and tier volume limits are by design, not service degradation. Posts not published during a warm-up period or as a result of volume caps will not be carried forward or credited.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Aethrel disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will meet your specific requirements, that drafts produced will achieve any particular engagement outcome or business result, that published replies will not be removed by the relevant platform, or that use of the Service will result in increased brand awareness, community standing, or revenue.

Social engagement outcomes depend on factors entirely outside our control, including platform algorithm changes, community norms, audience receptiveness, and the quality and accuracy of the strategy information you provide.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

Aethrel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of data, loss of business opportunity, reputational harm, or platform account suspension, arising from or in connection with your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Aethrel in the three months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Aethrel and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or relating to:

  • Your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy
  • Content you provide, including your strategy profile and any instructions given to the Aethrel team
  • Your violation of any third-party platform's terms of service
  • Any claim that content published through your account infringes a third party's intellectual property or other rights
  • Your violation of any applicable law or regulation

13. Termination

Termination by you

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Your workspace will remain accessible until that date. No refund is issued for the remaining portion of the current period.

Termination by Aethrel

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time with notice for material breach of these Terms. For violations of the Acceptable Use Policy that involve prohibited activities — fake personas, coordinated inauthentic behaviour, harassment, or similar — termination may be immediate and without refund.

We may also terminate the Service entirely with 30 days’ written notice, in which case we will provide a prorated refund for the unused portion of any prepaid subscription period.

Effect of termination

Upon termination, your workspace will be deactivated and your access to the Service will cease. We will retain your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You may request deletion of your data following account closure.

Sections 6 (Content and intellectual property), 10 (Disclaimers), 11 (Limitation of liability), 12 (Indemnification), and 14 (Governing law) survive termination.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction, as appropriate under applicable law.

We encourage you to contact us first at hello@aethrel.com if you have a concern. Most issues can be resolved without formal proceedings.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes — changes that substantially affect your rights or obligations — by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Non-material changes (corrections, clarifications, structural reorganisation without substantive change) take effect immediately upon posting.

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to a material change, your remedy is to cancel your subscription before the effective date.
