Acceptable Use Policy

Aethrel is built for genuine brand engagement. This policy defines how the platform may be used, what it will never be used for, and what clients are responsible for.

Last updated: April 15, 2026

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) governs all use of the Aethrel platform and services. By creating an account or using Aethrel, you agree to this Policy in full.

The purpose of this Policy is to ensure that Aethrel is used in a way that is honest, respectful of the platforms it operates on, and aligned with the interests of the communities those platforms host. Aethrel gives brands a presence in real conversations — that presence must be earned, not manufactured.

This Policy sits alongside any applicable Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Where there is a conflict, the more restrictive requirement applies.

2. Intended use

Aethrel is designed for one purpose: helping brands participate genuinely in conversations that are relevant to their product, service, or area of expertise. Replies drafted and published through Aethrel should add real value to the threads they appear in.

Appropriate uses include:

  • Responding to questions your product or expertise genuinely answers
  • Sharing relevant perspective or experience in discussions where it fits naturally
  • Building brand recognition in communities where your audience actively participates
  • Mentioning your product where it is a direct and honest answer to what someone is asking
  • Establishing credibility through consistent, high-quality engagement over time

Aethrel is a managed engagement tool, not a content broadcast tool. It is not designed for high-frequency promotional posting, cold outreach, or any activity whose primary purpose is volume over value.

3. Platform compliance

Every platform Aethrel operates on has its own terms of service, community rules, and posting norms. Clients are responsible for understanding and complying with the rules of each platform their workspace is active on.

Aethrel’s built-in volume limits, warm-up periods, and review requirements are designed in part to maintain healthy standing on each supported platform. These controls are not optional — they apply to all clients regardless of tier.

Platform-specific requirements that Aethrel enforces include:

  • Reddit: Accounts must comply with Reddit’s User Agreement and Content Policy. Self-promotional replies must be genuinely useful, not purely promotional. Subreddit-specific rules about self-promotion, link sharing, and brand presence apply.
  • LinkedIn: Accounts must comply with LinkedIn’s User Agreement and Professional Community Policies. Engagement must be professional in tone and relevant to the thread context.

If a platform updates its terms or policies in a way that affects how Aethrel may be used, Aethrel reserves the right to restrict or pause activity on that platform with notice to affected clients.

4. Authenticity requirements

Authenticity is the foundation this platform is built on. Every reply published through Aethrel must reflect a genuine, honest engagement with the thread it responds to. The following requirements apply to all clients without exception:

  • No fake personas. Accounts used with Aethrel must represent real entities — the client’s brand, company, or a clearly identified individual associated with the brand. Creating or using accounts that misrepresent their origin is prohibited.
  • No astroturfing. Using Aethrel to simulate organic community sentiment, manufacture the appearance of grassroots support, or coordinate engagement to artificially amplify a message is prohibited.
  • No undisclosed paid promotion. Where platform rules or applicable law require disclosure that a reply is promotional or sponsored, that disclosure must be included. Aethrel does not automatically add disclosures — clients are responsible for ensuring their replies meet disclosure requirements.
  • No misleading claims. Replies must not contain false statements of fact, fabricated reviews or endorsements, or misleading comparisons. This includes statements about competitors.
  • Replies must be review-approved. No client may attempt to bypass or circumvent the human review step. Every published reply must have an approval record.

5. Prohibited uses

The following uses of Aethrel are prohibited entirely. Engaging in any of these activities is grounds for immediate account suspension.

  • Operating fake or sockpuppet accounts on any platform
  • Coordinated inauthentic behavior — using multiple accounts to amplify the same message or simulate organic consensus
  • Harassment, targeted abuse, or replies intended to intimidate or demean other users
  • Spreading deliberately false or misleading information
  • Promoting illegal products, services, or activities
  • Engaging in any activity that violates the platform terms of service of Reddit, LinkedIn, or any other supported platform
  • Using Aethrel on behalf of a client without that client’s knowledge and consent
  • Attempting to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Aethrel platform itself
  • Reselling or sublicensing access to Aethrel without explicit written permission
  • Using Aethrel for political advertising, influence operations, or any campaign designed to manipulate political discourse

6. Content restrictions

Regardless of what a client’s strategy profile permits, the following content categories are hard stops — they will not be drafted, approved, or published through Aethrel under any circumstances:

  • Content that is hateful, discriminatory, or dehumanizing on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
  • Graphic violence or content designed to shock or disturb
  • Sexual content of any kind
  • Content targeting minors in any promotional or engagement context
  • Medical or legal advice presented as authoritative — replies may reference professional guidance but must not substitute for it
  • Content designed to exploit emotional vulnerability, including crisis, grief, or mental health distress
  • Personal attacks on named individuals

The never-engage topics configured during onboarding supplement these hard stops — they do not replace them. A client cannot configure their way out of the restrictions above.

7. Volume and pacing

Aethrel enforces daily and weekly posting limits at the pipeline level. These limits exist to protect account health on supported platforms, to maintain the quality of engagement over volume, and to ensure that brand presence feels organic rather than manufactured.

  • Volume caps are hard limits — they cannot be exceeded regardless of how many high-intent threads are discovered in a given period
  • New accounts are subject to a 14–30 day warm-up period with conservative pacing before limits increase toward tier maximums
  • Clients may not connect multiple accounts to a single workspace in order to circumvent per-account posting limits
  • The operator team may temporarily reduce a workspace’s posting cadence if platform signals indicate account health risk, without requiring client approval to do so

Volume limits by tier are published on the pricing page. Requesting limit increases beyond your tier requires a plan upgrade.

8. Your responsibilities

Aethrel provides the infrastructure and execution layer. Clients are responsible for the strategy that shapes it. Specifically, each client is responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and honest information during onboarding — brand identity, voice, and boundaries
  • Ensuring that the brand voice and strategy they define does not direct Aethrel toward any prohibited use
  • Reviewing strategy guidance periodically and requesting updates when their brand, audience, or product positioning changes
  • Ensuring that any platform accounts connected to their Aethrel workspace are legitimately owned or controlled by them
  • Complying with applicable laws in their jurisdiction, including advertising disclosure laws and consumer protection regulations
  • Reporting any reply that was approved in error — via their analytics portal or by contacting the operator team directly

The operator team reviews every draft before publishing, but this review is not a substitute for client responsibility. Clients remain accountable for the content published under their brand accounts.

9. Enforcement

Aethrel takes violations of this Policy seriously. The response to a violation depends on its nature and severity:

Warning and remediation

For first-time or minor violations — misconfigured strategy inputs, borderline content that passed review but shouldn’t have — Aethrel will notify the client, pause posting activity, and work through a remediation process before resuming.

Workspace suspension

For repeated violations, serious single violations, or any activity that creates risk to Aethrel or the platforms it operates on, the workspace will be suspended immediately. Suspension may be temporary or permanent depending on the severity.

Immediate termination

Any use of Aethrel for prohibited activities — fake personas, astroturfing, coordinated inauthentic behavior, harassment, or platform manipulation — will result in immediate account termination without refund. Aethrel reserves the right to report such activity to the affected platforms.

Aethrel reserves the right to modify or terminate any client workspace that it determines, in its sole discretion, is being used in a manner inconsistent with this Policy or the spirit of genuine engagement it is designed to support.

10. Contact

Questions about this Policy, concerns about how your workspace is being operated, or reports of potential violations by other users can be sent to:

If you believe a reply published through your account violated this Policy and should be removed, contact us immediately. We will investigate and take appropriate action, including requesting post deletion from the relevant platform where possible.

This Policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of Aethrel after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. Material changes will be communicated to active clients by email.
